T20I World XI Named by Saim Ayub, Features Sole Pakistani Player

Saim Ayub Names T20I Dream XI – Includes Only One Pakistani

ISLAMABAD: Peshawar Zalmi’s young batting talent, Saim Ayub, revealed his T20I World XI on the Off Topic Zalmi podcast, selecting just one fellow Pakistani — opening batter Fakhar Zaman.

The 21-year-old’s picks were limited to currently active players, with a cap of two per country. Despite the flexibility, Saim leaned heavily on international stars, partnering Fakhar with Australia’s Travis Head at the top.

England’s Jos Buttler, West Indies’ Nicholas Pooran, and South Africa’s Heinrich Klaasen formed the middle order, followed by Ben Stokes at No. 6 for his big-match temperament.

The all-rounders’ core included Hardik Pandya (India), Rashid Khan (Afghanistan), and Mitchell Santner (New Zealand). The pace attack featured Jasprit Bumrah (India) and Mitchell Starc (Australia).
